Help India Breathe Again: Covid Relief
India is burning under its catastrophic second covid wave. We are seeing 450K+ daily cases; there is a massive oxygen shortage; hospitals are choked, and we are all losing people we know, every single day. There is mind-numbing loss all around. We need resources to procure oxygen concentrators and ventilators, set up oxygen plants, and support low-income families who’re going without food. Every sum counts. An oxygen concentrator costs $700 and can save 5-7 lives every month. $70 can feed a low-income family for 2 weeks.
This is a 100% non-profit effort and all proceeds will go directly towards providing oxygen concentrators to people in need. Feeding India will source, purchase and distribute oxygen concentrators to hospitals and patients directly.
How will your donations be used?
- We will purchase and distribute oxygen concentrators to hospitals and patients, with Indian logistics company Delhivery.
- Charity by Press24 News is a 100% not for profit organization, every rupee you donate will go towards supporting the hospitals and patients in need
- Last year, in their Feed the Daily Wager endeavor, they distributed 78 million meals for free to the poor who had lost access to their livelihoods and saved them from the adversities arising out of hunger. Read our transparency report audited by Grant Thornton.

Help Marginalised Children Get Education At Home During COVID
An amount as little as Rs. 1,000 can bring education back to a child’s life during this Covid pandemic period!
The pandemic has wreaked havoc in the lives of many. Millions have lost their livelihood opportunities, facing grave difficulties fending for their families.
Covid also brought along with itself another major crisis for the country – a halt on education! As the pandemic started spreading and the country went into lockdown, educational institutions were shut down to prevent students from getting and spreading infection.
Online classes started for children of private schools in urban areas, but a huge proportion of children living in the urban slums and rural areas of the country still remain deprived of education.
Being out of school for months is not just leading to children losing interest in education but also making them more vulnerable to trafficking, child labour, and other forms of exploitation.
Mukti Caravan, our Freedom Campaign on Wheels, was recently relaunched in rural Bihar to spread awareness against the surge in trafficking during the pandemic. In just a fortnight, our team helped in the rescue of over 70 children from the clutches of traffickers, and aided the arrest of 24 human traffickers in the process! This shows the dangerous situation our children are faced with, especially by being out of the safety net of education.
We aim to connect children in rural and urban slum areas with education and provide them mid-day meals in the safety of their homes, so as to ensure that they are not just protected from the virus, but also from exploitation.
Your support will help us provide children with smart phones/tablets and internet connection for online education, and mid-day meals…
Indicative costs are:
Prepaid mobile connection for 3 months = Rs. 1,000
Smartphone / Tablet = Rs. 5,000
Mid-day meal per child per month = Rs. 1,000
We urge you to come forward and support as many children as you can. Any amount, howsoever large or small, is truly appreciated…
Provide Ration To Poor Families/Daily Wage Earners Affected By Lockdown
The second wave of COVID has hit the country extremely hard. We are witnessing far more distressful and humanitarian crisis than this time. Everyone around is infected with the virus or having hard time accessing medicines, oxygen, hospitalisation and daily supplies. Those at the margins are the most affected.
With new restrictions in place, we have again started getting calls for ration especially from home based workers in Chembur, recycling workers in Mankhurd, daily wage workers in Malvani and from villages in interior parts of Maharashtra where certain sections of the villages have been completely contained.
We are targeting to provide ration and cooked meals to workers who are not getting benefits of government relief package as they’re not registered with the labour department and don’t possess ration card. In addition, we are looking at supplying basic medicine and sanitation kits and in worst cases oxygen cylinders and help with hospitalisation and other expenses.
Right now we’re catering to requests in mumbai, but as new restrictions are being placed. The distress calls from other organisation with whom we partnered in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and other states are also coming in.
After serving more than 1.5 million hot meals and dry ration for 1 lakh persons from March 2020 to November 2020 during national lockdown, we are facing fund crunch to cater to needs arising out of present situation due to lockdown and complete breakdown of the public health infrastructure.
We helped as many as couldn’t with everyone’s support last year and continue to engage in relief efforts, providing food, medicines, information and any other help as required.
With your support, we can reach our target, hence requesting you to please contribute whatever amount you can so that we can attend to maximum requests.
We have resumed our last year crowdfunding link through which we raise about Rs. 42 lakhs and spent in the relief work last year. Any amount above Rs. 42 lakhs will be spent for the ongoing relief work.
Everyone here is passionate about their work, incredibly smart, and genuinely kind.
After having worked for a major consulting firm, it's so great to have a job where I know what I'm doing is making the world a better place. GlobalGiving is the only company that I’ve seen that actually lives their values and has them as a meaningful part of their day-to-day operations. It’s a breath of fresh air.
